The apartment is located upstairs and is accessible either by an external staircase of 15 steps leading directly to the rear terrace, or by an internal staircase of 15 steps accessible from the front door. We do not recommend this apartment for people with mobility issues, as there is no step-free access.
The interior of the building showcases its full historic character. The floors may creak slightly and display the gentle slopes typical of older constructions. The original windows can let in a bit of air, adding to the apartment’s authentic charm. As the building is not soundproof, sounds such as footsteps or voices can carry easily between units. This feature is part of the unique atmosphere of a heritage property but may not be ideal for travelers seeking a very quiet environment or for families with young children.
The driveway leading to the parking lot at the back is narrower than normal, as it was designed before the advent of the automobile. It is important to drive with caution. It is not possible to turn around in the parking lot: you must enter from the front and back up to exit, or back up to enter and exit from the front.
The building, with its period charm, is located on Maguire Avenue, where the shops are a little further away, but many pedestrians pass by the building throughout the day. It is also possible to hear the sounds of the neighborhood and passersby at times, as well as the city bus that passes regularly. For those looking for an ultra-quiet environment, this lively location may not be suitable.
To make your arrival more comfortable, a basic inventory of supplies is already in place: toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, laundry detergent and fabric softener, garbage bags, dish soap, dishwasher pods, cleaning products, hand soap, body wash, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, cooking oil, salt, pepper, and a few basic spices. For mid-term stays, we follow a chain of kindness: each guest replaces what they use so the next one finds the same level of supplies. These items are there to make your arrival easier and to maintain everyone’s comfort.
The cleaning fee covers cleaning after your departure only. You are responsible for keeping the apartment clean and in good condition during your stay. If you require cleaning service during your stay, an additional fee will apply.
The building is equipped with security cameras outside. One camera is installed at the main entrance, monitoring access to the front door, and another is placed at the back, covering the parking area. They record continuously for security purposes.

Parking is located at the rear of the building, accessible via the driveway on the right. Your parking space is identified with your apartment number.
The building is also well served by Quebec City's public transit network (RTC). Nearby, Laurier Boulevard is a major thoroughfare with the Metrobus 805, providing quick access to downtown, Sainte-Foy, and Laval University. Buses also run along Maguire Avenue, providing quick connections to major parts of the city. Route 16 runs directly along the avenue, while Route 11 is just a short walk away.
